Simon Berry is a qualified Hearing Chairman and has frequently been appointed to sit as an independent hearing comissioner to determine resource consent applications and designation requirements under the RMA.
He has chaired a number of these hearings, including resource consent renewals for the Wairakei Geothermal Power station, Plan Change 24 (Pokeno) for the Franklin District Council, pest eradication at Tawhauranui Regional Park and designations for the new Kopu Bridge, to name a few.
