Originally from the UK, Kate holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Bristol and a first class Masters degree in Public International Law from the University of Auckland. She was admitted as a solicitor in 2008 and joined Berry Simons in 2013.
Kate has broad experience in development, policy/plan and advisory work including in particular numerous large scale greenfield developments. She enjoys finding and developing workable, pragmatic solutions to meet Berry Simons’ clients’ needs.
Prior to joining the team at Berry Simons, Kate worked for an environmental consultancy specializing in waste management and marine planning matters and also for the Environmental Defence Society as a Senior Policy Analyst, where she gained extensive knowledge in environmental law and policy. Kate is committed to environmental sustainability and is still on the EDS Board.

Outside work, Kate enjoys surfing, snowboarding and running.
