Wed Sept. 1st 2021
“We are very proud of Olivia and are delighted she has agreed to become an Associate" - Simon Berry
We are delighted to announce that Olivia Manning became an Associate of Berry Simons on 1 September 2021.
An Auckland University graduate, Olivia commenced her legal career as junior for a barrister specialising in Resource Management and Public Law before working for a construction litigation firm.
Since joining Berry Simons, Olivia has done great work for all four partners across a wide range of resource management issues including ‘fast track’ applications under the Covid-19 legislation; major land development (including the plan change for the recently approved Ohinewai Sleepyhead Estate development); resource consent applications and notification issues; prosecutions; judicial review proceedings; and liquor licensing.
“Olivia has a very keen legal mind, a strong worth ethic and is a great team player – everything that you could hope for in a young lawyer,” says Simon Berry. “We are very proud of Olivia and are delighted she has agreed to become an Associate – I think she has a very bright future ahead with Berry Simons.”
Olivia is equally happy.
“I have immensely enjoyed the challenge and exciting variety of work I have been involved in at Berry Simons, and am so proud to be a member of such a collaborative and high calibre team. I am thrilled to be continuing my journey as an Associate", said Olivia.
Olivia’s appointment as an Associate means the Berry Simons team now comprises four Partners, three Senior Associates, an Associate, a Solicitor, and a Law Clerk. New lawyers will also be joining the firm soon.
