James Busch
Law Clerk
James joined Berry Simons in September 2024 after just under two years as a Hearing Manager at the Environment Court. He graduated from Auckland University with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws with Honours in 2022 and will be admitted as a solicitor in November 2024.
James has a keen interest in Environmental Law, in particular how environmental legislation and legal principles interact with the natural world. He looks forward to learning more about this interplay, and to taking advantage of the opportunities presented by being at Berry Simons to be part of this constantly evolving area of law, policy and regulation.

Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with his extended family in Auckland, or playing sports such as badminton, tennis and disc golf.
